African Violets are lovely perennial houseplants that produce clusters of white, blue, pink, purple or multi-color flowers over soft fuzzy leaves. African Violets will bloom with lower light, though medium to bright indirect light is best to keep them happy and healthy.
Planting and Care:
- Plant African Violets in small pots in either African Violet specific soil mix or an all-purpose potting soil.
- Re-pot once a year to mix in fresh soil.
- The soil should be loose and lightly moist, watered with room-temperature water. Be sure soil is well-drained.
- Dirt can be lightly brushed off of leaves with a soft brush.
