Fox Field Farm Junior Counselors Program: Embrace the Farming Lifestyle!
Dive into the heart of agriculture and homesteading life with our Junior Counselors Program at Fox Field Farm. This unique week-long adventure is designed for young enthusiasts, ages 10 and up, who have a passion for the farm life and a curiosity about managing a small-acre homestead. It's a co-ed experience that offers a comprehensive look into the various aspects of farm management and the day-to-day joys and challenges of living on a farm.

Camp Information
Participant Guide
To ensure a memorable and enriching experience at Fox Field Farm, participants are kindly requested to:
- Wear appropriate riding attire daily, including pants or leggings and boots or sneakers.
- Pack a water bottle, lunch, and snacks for each day, Monday through Friday.
- Bring labeled sunscreen (including a face stick), bug spray, a refillable water bottle, a towel, and cooler clothing options like shorts, t-shirts, or sundresses. A bathing suit is also required. Footwear such as Crocs or Keens is recommended for both activity and water play.
- Provide medical insurance details during registration.
- Download and fill out the release form available online and bring it on the first day, or fill out the form provided upon arrival.
Ensure all forms are printed and brought along on the first day of your session.

Join us for a unique journey into the heart of agriculture at Fox Field Farm. Our program is designed to immerse participants in the essentials of farming and animal care through a blend of hands-on activities and educational lessons. Each day is filled with engaging experiences, such as:
- Gardening: Learn to grow, propagate, and utilize homegrown vegetables.
- Animal Care: Become a conscientious animal owner through nurturing practices.
- Safe Handling: Master "soft hands" techniques for interacting with animals safely.
- Agricultural Education: Delve into the miracle of life on a functioning farm with an hour of academic lessons covering: Horse anatomy, Horse colors and breeds, Equestrian disciplines and events, Animal nutrition.
Creative and Fun Activities
- Make treats for horses, dogs, and other animals.
- Participate in tie-dye shirt making.
- Experience finger painting on horses.
- Enjoy water play and making friendship bracelets.
- Explore the farm on trail walks through our enchanted forest.
- Take joyous wagon rides.
Plus, many more traditional and fun activities!
Remember to label all personal items with your first and last name, and don't forget to bring your lunch, snacks, and a refillable water bottle every day!
